About my area

With a rugged hinterland, glamours cites, the snow on the Alps not too far away and azur sea under a bright sun, there is so much to discover and enjoy here on the cote d’azur. In particularly my area right in its heart is a small corner of paradise. Beaches, wild coves and mountains surround St Raphael, St Maxime and the historic town of Frejus. These are the larger of the towns with their vast shopping, provencal markets, restaurants and many activities. The smaller sleepy coastal towns of St Aygulf and Les Issambres come alive in the summer but the locals will integrate you into their community during the quieter months. Set back slightly from the coast is the provincial town of Roquebrune sur argens with its thousands of years of history and charming little streets. Then just across the bay you will find yourself in the glitzy old fishing port St Tropez made famous by Bridget Bardot The area is well connected with the A8 motorway, trains, busses and small ports. Nice airport is just 35 minutes away, making it an active area to live, have your second home or invest. Whether you are looking for a Provence style villa or a swanky new apartment with a sea view there is a lot to offer.

About me

Half French half English I grew up in the UK but since my early childhood had a second home here in the Var. After a very long career at sea working on luxury cruise ships I decided in January 2019 it was time to settle back on land and after being lucky enough to travel to so many places around the world there was no question of a doubt for me to choose to settle here on the vibrant and beautiful Cote d’azur. 300 days of sunshine, superb food, variety of beaches, great location, close to sea, close to mountains and excellent health care there is certainly a lot to offer.
